The Conference opens at the Toronto Eaton Centre Marriott on Thursday, June 4th with an evening Welcome Reception, following the Awards Ceremony for recipients of the 2020 TD Scholarship for Community Leadership.
Conference Sessions will take place throughout the day on Friday, June 5th. On the Friday evening you will have the opportunity to participate in a prearranged social activity that will be paid for by TD. The Conference concludes about 1:30 pm, on Saturday, June 6th, with a morning session and luncheon.
The primary location for all Conference activities, as well as accommodation for Conference participants, will be at the Toronto Eaton Centre Marriott, located at 525 Bay Street in the heart of downtown Toronto.
Saturday, April 25th, 2020 is the deadline to register.
TD is pleased to cover the cost of each delegates accommodation for the duration of the conference, meals, conference materials and planned social events. TD will also cover the cost of travel for delegates within Canada, living outside of the GTA. For those travelling from outside of Canada, TD will provide up to $700 towards the cost of travel.
First and foremost, bring an open mind and a willingness to participate.
For the conference: You will need comfortable, casual clothes and shoes.
For the reception: On Thursday night we will be hosting the 2020 TD Scholarships for Community Leadership Awards Ceremony followed by an Alumni Welcome cocktail reception which will be a bit more formal, so business attire would be appropriate.
For the Friday evening function: Wear comfortable casual clothes and shoes. You may also want to bring a camera and umbrella, along with the usual items you would bring on a trip. If you are currently on any medication, please be sure to bring the necessary supply and to have a copy of the prescription with you in case of loss or emergency.
TD is pleased to cover the cost of each delegate to attend the conference, which includes travel to Toronto (from cities within North America), accommodation for the duration of the conference, all meals, all conference materials and any costs associated with the planned social events.

You are responsible for making your own ground transportation arrangements to and from the conference. TD will not be covering or reimbursing the cost for any ground transportation.
Mileage will not be reimbursed, but parking at the Toronto Eaton Centre Marriott will be paid for.
When you register for the Conference, you will also have an opportunity to complete your travel arrangements online. Registration, including travel arrangements, must be completed by Saturday, April 25, 2020. You will receive an email message to confirm that your registration and travel request has been received by TD. You can expect a reply with a tentative itinerary for your approval within 5 business days.

Accommodation for all Conference participants will be arranged at the Toronto Eaton Centre Marriott, located at 525 Bay Street. All Conference sessions will also take place at this location.
Your hotel stay will be covered by TD Bank only at the Toronto Eaton Centre Marriott. Please note TD will only pay for accommodation from Thursday, June 4th to Saturday, June 6th. Should you wish to extend your stay beyond this Conference period, you will be responsible for the additional room expenses.
TD will assign each participant a roommate based on rooming preferences indicated by you on the registration site. If you did not indicate a preferred roommate we will do our best to place you with a Scholar from your year. You will be advised of the name of your roommate when you check into the hotel on Thursday, June 6th.
We invite participants who live in, or who are from, the Toronto area to stay at the hotel with the others. If you plan to stay at home please let us know at least one month before the conference.
TD will cover only the cost of your room. If you would like to make the phone available for calls, the front desk will ask you for a credit card number to charge them to. Otherwise if you need to make a call, we suggest using your mobile or a phone card. We recommend this as a less expensive option.
Yes. Out of respect for your fellow participants, it is required that all participants who register for the TD Scholars' Conference attend the whole conference. This includes the Welcome Reception on Thursday night and the closing luncheon on Saturday afternoon and all meals.
Everyone at TD is proud of the way that you, as TD Scholars, represent yourselves and us, as responsible and caring Canadians. You are ambassadors, not just of the TD Scholarship program, but also of TD's employees, shareholders and customers. Thanks for doing such a great job! Please check in to the Hotel and register at the Conference if possible no later than 5:30 pm on Thursday, June 4th.
French and English translation services will be available throughout the Conference.
The online registration form will provide a place for you to alert us to health concerns such as allergies. We will keep this information with us at the conference in case there are any medical emergencies.
We have provided you the opportunity to specify any special needs you have on the online registration form. We will take these into consideration and make the appropriate arrangements, in consultation with you if necessary.
Sightseeing is not part of the official conference itinerary this year.
For the duration of the conference, Wednesday June 3rd - checkout Saturday, June 6th, TD will look after your hotel accommodations and meals. Your family is welcome to stay with you; however, they will be responsible for their own meals, during this time.
